What are precuts?

Precuts are bundles of fabrics that have been cut to a definite size by a lazer machine. They come in different sizes and shapes (strips, hexagons, triangles, etc.). They have numerous advantages: they save you time at shopping and the cutting mat, and since they all come from the same line, all of the pieces in the bundle go together perfectly. 

What's a Jelly Roll?

Jelly Rolls are collections of 2.5" x 44" strips of fabric. Jelly Rolls typically include 40 strips of fabric but the number of strips can vary. 

What's a Layer Cake?

Layer Cakes are collections of 10" x 10" squares of fabric. Made originally by Moda Fabrics, they are similar to a charm pack but a larger size. Layer Cakes are available by collection and typically include 42 pieces of fabric, though the number may vary.

What's a a Charm Pack?

Charm packs are collections of 42 5" x 5" squares of fabric.

What's a Fat Eighth?

A fat eighth of fabric is 1/8th of a yard that is usually cut to measure 9" x 22" rather than the typical one-eighth yard cut of 4.5" x 42".

What's a Dessert Roll?

Dessert Rolls from Moda Fabrics are collections of 20 5" x 44" strips of fabric.

What's a Honeycomb?

Honeycombs are hexagon-shaped precuts that include 40 6" hexagons. Each Honeycomb hexagon measures 6" from point to opposite point, with a horizontal measurement of 5 1/4".

What's Fat Quarter?

 

A fat quarter is a one-fourth yard cut of fabric that (usually) measures 18" x 22" instead of the typical 9" x 44" quarter-yard cut. The longest side's dimension will vary if your fabric is not 44" wide.

 

Whom should I contact if I have trouble with my order?

How much time until my order arrives?

We try to ship your order asap, mostly within 2 workdays. After that it is up to the regional postal service. Unfortunately, we have no influence on the shipping time after posting your order, but you can expect about 3-5 days within the EU and 7-9 days internationally.

Can I change my order after submission?

As we try to ship the orders asap, there is very little we can do after you submitted your order. Even so, please feel free to contact us, and we will try to find a solution for the problem.

Why inches and not metric (cm)?

Many quilters struggle with the conversion of measures due to the different metric systems quilters use in the United States and we here in Europe. However, most precuts, quilting tutorials, and other supplies are simply measured in inch. Wherever it is possible, we try to give the metric measurement as well, however, sometimes it is easier to count in inches.
